at last,natuloy din yung photoshoot namin with hyra..thumbs up sayo indhay, effort for the MU and wardrobe..thumbs up for being so flexible...kahit na mahirap ung pinapagawa ko na pose, walang angal...

it was scheduled for a sunset photoshoot. paolo,hyra,doc ayen and i arrived at the location late,expecting that we are the only people that will use the place..
location : abandoned villa near Trade Center R/A...our group arrived round 5:00 pm..originally scheduled 4pm..asa pa ako sa mga time management namin..hehe

i was hoping na we would catch sunset about that time..pero since late kame and we have to set-up the lights and fix things...sus natapos ako mag set-up past 5:30pm na...gosh...what about the sunset?..un ang maganda dun...nawala ung araw 6:45pm..hmmm dahil summer na d2 matagal ang day time..ayos!

i recently had completed my DIY softbox project made of used huge umbrella, industrial foil,raincoat some velcro,aluminum foil and an old plastic bowl. im happy how it turned out.its a whoppin' 36" softbox that gives an even soft huge light. you'll get 1 stop less but it is so worth the light.

three weeks was the time required to complete this project.endless sewing for the velcro and rain coat every night. and it all paid off...

we spent the whole friday afternoon shooting and conceptualizing(tama ba?..usually kasi sleep mode kame after lunch).and since we dont have enough time para mahabol ung 8mo ni cathy..nag shoot nlng kame..

a day after my trial shoot with wifey..i tired it outside sa mejo mas maluwag na space.just to minimize the lights bouncing from the walls.. thanks to my models joshua, arianne and tatay..game na game sila mag pose for me habang nag-iisip kung anu nanamang kalokohan ang ginawa ko for my photography...here are my shots..

that freaking umbrella softbox kicks ass..it gives a very soft light..the light was less by 1 f-stop..all in all, im happy with the outcome..definitely it will be always part of my strobist photography set-up..

Missin' Airsoft & Diving..

this blog supposed to have entries about scuba diving and airsoft.although in the past, i have posted about my adventures on these field, pero ngaun wala na.

Airsoft
miss na miss ko na makipag putukan, makipag rat-ratan, makipag-habulan at tamaan ng 0.20g BB's sa katawan at approx. 400-500fps.at pagkatapos may kulay itim,violet,pula na pantal o pasa sa katawan. run-dock-crouch-crawl in full BDU & Gears load out. call radio infos to team mates. i miss the adrenalin rush it gives me right after each game. kahit sobrang init d2 sa uae, we still manage to play with our hydration equipments...i miss the sound of shaking BB's in the bottle or loaded in magazines placed on Vest's and mag-pulls at the battle zone. i miss the echos of firing MP4's,Carbines, D-Eagles,Ak's and the sound of players shouting "HIT!!", "DEAD MAN WALKING".. i miss the argument with MP's to players not calling their "HITS"...last time i played airsoft..hmmm March 2008...my last tournament..2nd place..Hooyaah! Magdalo Seal Team..

Diving
naku eto pa...miss ko na ang scuba diving..driving 1.5 hrs from dubai to khorfakkan fujairah to dive...i miss the long drive, fun with diving buddies sa kotse, nice views of sunrise, rocky mountains of fujairah,ras al khaimah, the moment we gear up forthe dive,carrying air tanks to dive boat,weights,regulators..and syempre..i wont forget the diver's delight(hard boiled egg,after each dives)...i miss doin' the safety checks to myself and my buddy..i miss sayin' "diver clear!" before doin' back roll, giant stride..i missed the sound of water splashes once i hit the water surface..i miss the feelof cold water touching my skin under my wet suit...i miss the thrill and excitement of looking to your buddy and start descending..i so miss the sound of water bubbles every time i exhale on my regulator...i miss the sound of my ear poppin' trying to equalize..i so miss the 360, the 180 summer-saults that i can do when suspended in mid-waters..i miss the underwater world the creatures, group of fishes that serves as a tour-guide and show you around their territory, their colors,shape,looks..i miss the turtles..i miss white tip sharks..i miss large head jacks, i miss murray eels, i miss lobsters, i miss yellow and red snappers...i miss the angle fish.i miss sting rays,eagle rays. i miss "Nemo" clown-fish.sobrang namiss ko sila..last dive..hmmm Bohol..april 2008...

Music and Photography - lagi ko sila nagagawa.every week im playing with our band sa church and i can always shoot pictures anytime...

pero kahit na di ko na sila nagagawa(dive&airsoft). they can still be a part of my blogs..siguro in time, magagawa ko ulit yan..with my wife na(all my gears are in good and safe storage,been thinking of selling gears but never sold them)..meron namang bago..i think i have to add another adventure in my life "FATHERHOOD" that is..

Christmas Fun Shoot - 5 months Preggy pictorial

last christmas, naiwan kame ni misis sa bahay..housemates went out for a christmas gala..since di pwede maglakwatsa si buntis, we decided to stay at home..then, we thought of doing a pictorial at home...browse some pregnancy portraits sa net, kumuha ng ideas and ginaya namin, but most of the time, failure ang attempts ko..so nag-isip ako ng sarili naming concept..

all in all, natuwa kame sa kinalabasan ng aming photoshoot...

Light Room 2.6 & CS3 Workflow

last week, napanuod ko ung video post ni Zach Arias about workflow..i got interested on how he does his edits. long time follower na din ako ng photographer-blogger na to..pati na sina joe mcnally(national geographic photographer),david hobby(mr.s trobist). so di na ako nag-aksaya ng panahon..downloaded LR2.0 via torrent,then got update for LR 2.6. Adobe Photoshop CS3 pre-installed in my office desktop PC(yup, sa Office ko).

nakakatuwa gamitin ung Light Room. una madali,second madali third madali..ready na lahat.it can open any raw files from DSLR, then you have total control of your colors(available lahat sa side bar),meron kna built in workflow..isa isahin mo lng ung mga items sa side bar as you like..adjust the sliders..and thats it...tapos meron import export..ang matindi..if you are consistent in all your exposure sa bawat shots mo..you can edit one picture then..sync all of the remaining. pwede mo balikan ung iba if you are not satisfied...then lipat ka sa CS3 for other editing..dodge&burn,smodge,heal,watermark,clone..etc.

aug 30. i found out that my wife was delayed for 5 days. i told her, and she was still reluctant to consider that shes is really pregnant and wanted to wait for few more days to check if she really is preggy. the next day i told her " labs cgurado ako positive kna nyan, di ka nman na de-delay ng 5 days. i've checked our online monitoring guide (www.mymonthcycle.com) if we missed count or its a false alarm. i told my wife to try a P-test early in the morning just to see.

and it was positive. though she was still not sure dahil di daw visible masyado ung second line. i told her " wala naman second line kung negative ka, pero may second line na lumabas but hinde prominent." im so happy to see the result...meanwhile my wife still not convinced that she is really preggy, i told her "cge i'll buy one of those p-test na pwede mo gamitin anytime of the day and costly" just to make sure tska para mawala ung doubt nya....

second check.POSITIVE. this time kitang-kita na ung second line and tlgang sureness na..yahooo! at last my wife is convinced. late that evening we went for a early pregnancy check. Dra. Sarita Kapoor, one of the best OB in dubai at kilalang-kilala sya d2 kaso mahal nga lang, checked her up and took a blood test. next morning wife is having morning sickness then the result of the blood test was again POSITIVE.

i am so blessed and happy. first baby namin ng wife ko.a true miracle from GOD how it was formed and developed.countless blessings are coming in sa buhay namin..we just cant give back things that we have dahil alam namin na kulang pa yon sa blessings that the LORD are providing..marami pong salamat aming AMA...just continue to use us as your servants and workers. everything is for your Glory and Honor! we give you back all the WORSHIP and PRAISE!

wohooo!!! just got my 43" Wescott umbrella with removable black cover, lumopro 8" A/C light stand and lumopro umbrella swivel. that was a quick delivery by UPS.it only took them 5 days.

i've been searching the net where to find Nike Airforce One - Philippines Edition. since the main man died -Francis M., nag ka interes ako humanap nito. i first saw this shoe on his blogs. being a long time fan of francis m, i can say na we have a lot of things in common. We love Hip-Hop & Rap, we love Music, we love photography and we love our country.ONE LOVE sir KIKO!

then came the urge to buy this freaking shoes. malakas na din loob ko umorder thru internet since nasubukan ko na b4 using my credit card. the problem is limited pieces lng ung na-release sa market...some of them are for sale or open for bidding but its way too expensive for me. bka batukan ako ng misis ko.hehe. then i told kuya pao about my sentiments. sabi nya "bro., wala kna makukuha nyan.kung meron man napaka-mahal. check mo ung nike-id,ikaw mismo gagawa ng color and design ng kicks mo.hmmm.. magandang idea yan....

sa sobrang kagustuhan ko magaya ung philippine flag color pattern. ang kinalabasan ng customized shoes ko ay superman theme...hahah.it might not be the same color combi, but it looks nice.and the most important of all, my wife likes it too and thats the most important part..approved kay misis...kaya no problem on ordering on-line.

how time pass by so fast.ang bilis, i can still remember last year's celebration where i was part of the Kaloob Dance ministry.it was the same celebration with new faces and friends. now this year, same people and more new faces and more friends. God is really good for giving me the talent and time to be part of this event.

my first product shoot...

a friend,church-mate and a co-ministry worker is working for a research company. she approached me and ask if i can do a product photograph..."certainly..i'd loved to" thats my answer..without any idea on how am i gonna do that product shot.then "prepare some samples, send it to me by email so that my boss can see it.ask your friends how much it will cost us for two products.." was the next lines i got from her...waaaahhhh.. i dont have any sample, i dont know how much is the rate(they will pay me??)...next thing, i found myself lurking into the internet to do some research..omg...pressured on my first assignment...and here are the results....

i've been doing DIY gadgets and lighting mod's for my flash (SB800)...i found this website www.diyphotography.net...you can find lots of photography tips, tricks and DIY illustration how to do a home made version of photography gadgets and gizmos at a very less cost...sometimes no cost at all.all you need to have is time,patience and be a handyman.

well, at first parang ayoko gawin kasi bka di umipek...sayang lang ang oras ko...but i still decided to give it a go...i made a DIY beauty dish..made from a palangana, empty CD case (100pcs cap.), spray paint(white and black), screws,tin can sheet and concave mirror...i'll make a separate posting for the DIY beauty dish...for now, im interested to share the portraits after some PP ehancement....

im happy with the results, its kindahard to find the right angle since the beauty dish diameter is relatively small...i think im gonna make a bigger beauty dish....please do comment..for improvement..

march 2009- we had our vacation sa pinas since we (I & Cathy) are gonna get married and our friends (Birds and Leyz) are going to have their church wedding too.

eto na..baskayon na...wala kami ginawa kundi mag shopping at kumain...anu ba nman ung 3 times kami bumisita sa DAMPA (p'que and macapagal) in our 3 week stay sa pilipinas....hahaha..food trip tlga...i missed pinoy food a lot..though nakakapag luto kami here in dubai, iba pa din if sa pinas niluto,tpos fresh pa..panalo..i even ask the waitress to give me their secret recipe for sweet and spicy buttered crab(she gave after ilang beses na pangungulit kaso mahal ang crab dito sa dubai)...

whew!! kakagutom tuloy..hehe..after our wedding, cathy's family and my family went for a short trip to batangas..forgot the name of the place,since my mind was set for a diving trip to bohol or palawan,but i kinda liked it din afterwards.being with our family and spend some quality time with them are priceless. to think that we will be staying for a couple of weeks lng kaya make the most of it na..mejo kaka ngarag lang din.almost every other day we have to travel from my moms place to her place..las pinas to binan..commuting, the pila, the traffic, the init...haha! nakakaloka! pero masaya kasi kasama ko ung wife ko...

anwyay back to the trip to batangas..i did a sunset pictorial with my sister..astig dalaga na sya..di ko akalain na ganun kabilis ang panahon...thanks to my assistant (my wife) for this photoshoot..

what an experience, i had lunch yesterday.sarap ng ulam na baon ko.fried fish alumahan...naubos ko ung food ko until the last fish meat...kaso, natinik ako! anak ng kulugo, kung kelan wala na akong kanin tska naman ako natinik..

i tried all possible ways to safely remove that freakin' fish bone out of my throat..i swallowed big pieces of banana, rice, even fruits just to take it out..im hopeless and cant do anything to take it out...natapos ang maghapon, napunta at nakabalik ako ng dubai from abu dhabi habang may nakatusok sa lalamunan ko..

di na ako makali, dahil sa sobrang iritable na and swollen na ung part ng tonsils ko with a bit of bleeding, we decided to go sa emergency ng Al Rashid Hospital..ayaw ako entertainin kasi daw wala sila specialist..we were then referred to Dubai Hospital dahil meron daw ENT dun...sa makatuwid pinuntahan namin dis oras ng gabi..i think past 12 mid night na kami nakarating sa Dubai hospital..

pag dating dun..nakakatawa...sa emergency din ako pumunta..lahat halos ng kasabay ko malubha ang karamdaman..and ako patawa-tawa lang dahil meron lng akong tinik sa lalamunan..hehe..pag initial check ng attendant "Fish Bone" ang case ko...nung naprocess na ako antay nnman until 1:30am bago ako tinawag..all doctors are busy..walang available for me..or should i say walang gustong tumingin sa case kong " Fish Bone"...the nurse were holding my file and told us to follow him while he checks all the treament rooms for an available doctor while saying ":Fish Bone!!"..as if inilalako at...itinitinda ako..."Fish Bone case here doctor yuhoo!!"grrr..kainis..sarap batukan...

at last may duktor na at nakuha na ung tinik...sabi nug arabo "What kind of fish did you ate, Hamour?(lapu-lapu)" sabay pinakita kay cathy ung tinik " Do you want it for souvenir?"..nakuha pang mang asar,....patawa tawa lng ako kahit na antok na antok at asar dahil sa tagal ng pagaantay...nakauwi kami 2am na..kaya eto ako ngaun...inaantok sa trabaho...naisip mag blog pra mawala antok ko...

lesson learned : check ng mabuti ang kinakain...hinde nga deadly pero abala ka naman pag nagkataon...

Thank you LORD dahil ung emergency case ko fish bone lng at hinde mas malubhang karamdaman...yebah!!!

few days before christmas, nagddrama ako...bakit nman kasi lagi lng malamig ang pasko ko...umuwi ng pinas si cathy for her vacation and to celebrate Christmas with her fam. sa sobrang emote ko..i went for a brisk walk along dubai creek.kahit na super freezing cold pa.brought nikki(d300),toto(tripod) tska 10-20mm UWA, 18-200mm nikkor lens ko,..i took shots several times,changing my settings everytime, tpos may kausap pa akong kasmot na mega chikka and emote = ),mejo natagalan ako sa pag set ng maayus na pic...dami kasi dumadaan na boat and dhow sa creek...here's the final output.

a few weeks ago, i had a chance to visit the newly opened Dubai Mall..the biggest shopping mall built today. One of the famous and extravagant attraction was the indoor aquarium.

"The aquarium at The Dubai Mall, has clinched a world record. i saw some scuba divers into the tank.its a bit scary diving with those kind of see creatures specially if you are not used to dive with huge fish.but its not a bad idea at all. i approached one of the staff and told me that they will be having scheduled diving inside the tank, open for all licensed divers, sometime next year...hmmm kayanin kaya ng powers ng isa sa mga diving buddies ko ang sumabak sa loob nito?hmmm ano sa palagay mo apz?hehehe

during the Eid Al Fitr holiday (holidays after Ramadan) we had our first Eurotrip...destination, ROMA, ITALIA..sobrang excited ang lolo mo since Rome and Vatican City ay dream place ko to visit..imagine mas maapreciate ko na ung history classes ko, ancient architecture, barroque, romanesque, gothic, rennaisance, ung mga nakasulat sa bible (Romans), ung mga ancient roman civilization na dati i can only see sa book, pictures, Tv..ung mga "Romanians"(sabi ni catz..hahaha = ) peace!) hayy its truely a dream come true..syempre di magpapaiwan si Nikki (my Nikon D300) for capturing the views with the rest of the gang Toto(my tripod) ,Louie (my camera backpack) and SIG (10-20mm UWA lens)...

hmmm...i just posted about voltes V yesterday and now i got news for you..i ordered one for myself.yup. i was a little "depress" yesterday so i decided to surf the net kasi di nman ako masyado busy. hinahanap ko actually ung website ng photography tips and guide that was saved on my web browser bookmark.it so happen na nakita ko ung www.betatoys.com, andun ung VOltes V G-31 pero it is still out of stock. i checked some websites, it turned out ganun din...pero dahil nga sa sobrang dream ko un..naghanap pa din ako..and luckily i found one site na merong stock nung gusto ko.www.hlj.com.manggagaling pa ung shipment from japan.i freak out! did'nt know what to do.should i call my GF and tell her kung oorder ako or just order nlng i'll tell her after..hmmm, mabilis ang pangyayari..samakatuwid..inorder ko sya.hehehe di ako napigilan sarili ko..i was looking and searching for so long para sa availability nung toy na yun..truely it is a collectors item...then i clicked the button and presto! ordered na sya....

next scenario..how would i tell my GF?hehehe paktay tayo neto..so i decided to call her after few hours, thinking and planning on what exact words should i say para di ako mayari...

Recently we had a fellowship and gathering in one of our church mate's house. Kuya Alejo and Ate Toni's place in Satwa...fellow ministry workers and friends where already at the place when catz and i arrived..the moment i stepped into their door, the nicest "thing" that a child can ever imagine to have...placed nicely and neatly on a secured transparent stand with dividers, gorgeously positioned as if they are ready for battle..slowly as i walked to the living room, the whole place seems to stop moving..my eye never lost its focus on that "thing"...then it became clear to me..VOLTES V Soul of Chogokin GX-31 Die Cast Robot Figure.

Council passes draft law imposing stiff penalties for possessing arms illegally

Abu Dhabi: The Federal National Council (FNC) on Tuesday passed a draft law imposing stiff penalties for carrying, possessing or dealing in arms, munitions, explosives and fire crackers without a license.

Under the draft law on weapons, ammunitions and fire crackers, those who break the law will face up to 10 years in jail and a minimum fine of Dh15,000.

The right to possess and carry arms by people within the national territory is recognized, but with a license and after adhering to the law.

The legislature demanded that only people aged 25 or more can obtain a license to carry weapons, which was initially 21 years.

The house also turned down a clause that initially exempted the FNC members from obtaining a permit to carry arms.

BEFORE :

Anyone who will be caught by the authorities carrying AEG in public will be arrested and subject for police interrogation but no penalties can be imposed due to absence of federal directive.

Airsofter can carry their AEG from home to game site.

AFTER :

Anyone who commits the offence of dealing in, importing, exporting, manufacturing or attempting to smuggle weapons, munitions and explosives will face a prison term of up to 10 years and a fine of not less than Dh15,000.
Using any gas or air-compressed arms, electrical or antique arms to threaten people will carry a prison term or a fine.

now that new rules has been made,Airsoft games in UAE will be conrtrolled and properly monitored. and it is a DIRECTIVE from the government. Good News for UFAC, we still have a gamesite to play though new rules must be followed...Hooooyyyaaaahhh!!!

someone's using my credit card....freakin' losers!!!!!

i received an email from mashreq bank about my e-statement, wherein it includes all the details of my bill and transactions made. to my surprise, i made a transaction dated 11th of may 2008..where was i at that time?duh i was in singapore shopping....!!!!!

its pretty obvious that i was not the one who made that transaction.i know for sure that my card is in my wallet at all times. there could be one reason,..my monthly bill for fitness first, but it should not be coming from bur juman center dahil ang membership ko ay sa al hannah center,satwa..so merong dispute...

i called the bank's customer service and immediately submitted a dispute form/notice...hopefully things will be cleared soon..kala ko sa pinas lng merong credit card fraud...

it took me a couple or more months to prepare for our trip. it was my mom's idea to go and visit Singapore on my annual vacation since she is also eager to visit the country. our initial plan was the whole family will go and meet me in Singapore instead of just going to the airport and wait for my arrival. hmmm, sounds cool but budget wise?ahhmmm..not a good idea..haha.as early as Feb I talked with my mom regarding the plan. then I immediately spoke with my very good friend wendy, which happen to be staying and working in SG along with lejanie and the rest of our friends, about my future visit to SG. The plan was good, but i can't say and fix any date for my trip since my leave application was still pending from our HR manager(grrrrr..) and a month before that, my residence visa was under process(geeeezzz!..)..but then, the trip was really for us. weeks before my flight, my leave application was approved and my visa came.(yahoooo!!)

even tired from a week load of work, lack of sleep from the tournament preparation, team tactics meetings, AEG tuning and upgrades. the tournament started as expected. i was shocked by the numbers of teams participating..can you imagine 16 teams on the line-up?we started the club 5- 6 months ago and we only have 2 teams.WOW!! oh boy, Filipinos are really bored from their work and wanted to try something new.

And the FINAL RESULTS

we made it to the finals, but unfortunately we ended up as runner-up.but no worries, everyone enjoyed the game and we still have more chances on other upcoming tournaments.

never ending hintayan sa meeting place..we came late, pero may mas na-late pa samin ng dating...then the journey begins..nakarating kami sa Dibba Port past 8am na...soooo late!..
walang katapusang kalsada..haba ng byahe,pero infairness hinde nakatulog si apol...=)

sobrang tagal sa paghihintay sa mga kasama,plus sa hintay ng tanks plus sa paghintay ng fud..we jumped off Dibba port past 10 am na ata..e dapat ung 10am first dive na, to add pa sa pagka-asar ko we have to travel 1.5 to 2 hrs para makarating sa oman waters dun sa dive spot na pupuntahan namin.imagine??? at eto pa, right after ng first dive namin nawala ko ung mask ko..it was like, 5 dives old na mask and snorkel..damn!..kainis noh?well sabi nga nila, a bad diving day is better than a good day at the office..i got my rewards nman infairness and ito yun...

i saw this fish under a huge rock.it was so dark underneath kaya mejo i-adjusted the contrast and brightness pra makita nyo ung image..the fish is about 1 meter long and 1.5 meters wide..i based it from the gap between the rocks..nakakatakot ng konti,dahil bka biglang may kumagat sa ulo ko if i would go further inside..i think kasama sya sa family ng napoleon fish or angel fish..awesome GOD!naisip nya pa yan..grabe..panalo.!

this two shots made my day..saktong sakto para sa photography ko..its so amazing to see sceneries like this..truly amazing GOD!everything paid off..ung pagod sa byahe,ung gutom sa pagaantay,ung mawalan ka ng mask..sulit na dahil sa nakita ko...

while i'm writing about sweatin' out, my colleague(Austrian) came to my office(yes i'm at work blogging) and told me about his kite boarding weekend.he told a lot of things,the way to do it, the feeling, the equipment and the experience. and again, i am interested. yup, you heard me right. definitely this one will be on my list of things to do.
by the way, this Austrian fellow is also my dive buddy =)

next week we'll be having a Mussandam dive and next month will be my Palawan dive so i decided to buy a camera that i can use underwater. im searching for a camera with manual settings, where in, i can practice the manual modes in preparation for my DSLR camera(when can i buy it??) and to practice my framing as well. and the winner is....

last friday my kuya kasmot and i went to Al Nasr Square in Naif area to look for a nice DSLR for our photography. we checked the new release from Canon the Eos 450d and compared it to the previous DSLR cameras that we saw in Mall of the Emirates.since im tight of budget i decided to buy A720IS for a start.besides this camera can do a bit of professional pics but limited. so i did some exploration of my camera's capability and some experimentation.

2 weeks ago,kuya loves and ate loves ask me to sign up for fitness first membership.im not sure if this is the right time to go for it since i still have a lot of activities on the line(dami ko kasi gusto gawin eh), anyway i joined. first few days was really painful and hard. i hope it will pay off.

i came across to some website that are giving free weight training program.took the list of things to do and followed every bit of it last night..to my surprise,its easier said (or read) than done.but im happy 'bout it.you should be disciplined enough to follow the routines. wish me luck!

DIVING : My First Boat Dive Experience.!

since i was away and lost by few months, i was'nt able to publish this on my blog..so here it goes..

january 11,2008....0500hrs was the time set for us to meet with the group in EPPCO gas station Al Qusais.We arrived at 0545hrs(whats new?)lagi kami late ni kuya jabe mapa jumeirah or outside UAE dive late pa din kami. And our destination?Khorfakkan Port Fujairah UAE.exciting ang first ever boat dive..in our previous dives,mejo may kaba pa ako..pero that day was different,it was like at last we can enjoy the view underwater and not just doing any underwater skills for our lessons.

ETA 0800hrs we will be at Khorfakkan Port..

The gang - lu , myla, pekto,joel(our instructor),precious,arnee(scuba dubai), jabe,emil & des.
i was behind the camera.

after the photo sessions, we immediately proceed with our equipment assembly then pre-dive briefing,jump on the boat and off we go....

First Stop - Inchcape wreck 1
depth: 22.3 m
temp: 20 degrees
visibility : 8m (not bad)
time : 0930hrs

we stopped on the anchor line,put on our equipments and did the back roll entry.we experienced a strong current until 5 m then descended smoothly.i was having problem descending because of the current and i don't have enough weights. we descended on the anchor line and upon reaching the bottom, i was fascinated by the scenery, a tug boat sunked 8 yrs ago was there in front of me. we hoover and swim around the wreck. i saw a group of yellow snappers, angel fish, cuttlefish,trumphet fish,puffer fish, sea weeds on the wreck. it was amazing.am i dreaming? I'm actually swimming with these sea creatures and watching their normal habitat.months of scuba training and money spent actually paid-off on that experience.

kuya jabe - he had a nice time.since water sport is his interest, he enjoyed every minute at the bottom

joel(instructor) - busy checking his students,had a great time as well.

emil & pekto - emil was checking on pekto. since pekto was having vertigo(dizziness),he actually blow underwater and feed the fishes(his full breakfast)..hahaha = )

myla & lu - myla was a bit ahead on diving experience since she went previously to a dive trip in mussandam(oman). she is actually baby sitting her buddy lu who doesn't have any fear of going inside the wreck(big NO! NO! if your are not trained for it)

arnee & precious - arnee was busy spear fishing(oooppss. sorry 'bout that.divers should be the ambassador for environmental protection and rehabilitation and not catching the creatures as meal =) . precious spent most of her time taking snaps.

and oh i almost forgot mr.hareb- an emarati police officer that owns the dive house and dive boat was with us on the dive.

everyone was satisfied on the dive,though not much creatures was present we had a nice dive.

While waiting for our surface interval(time to spend on surface before doing another dive), we went snorkeling.

Next Stop : Shark Island

everyone is a bit hungry,so joel introduced to us his specialty "Diver's Delight". before our actual dive he was discussing to us the cuisine that he specially prepared for our dive and taadaahh! "Hard Boiled Egg".after enjoying a delightful meal ,we grab our masks,snorkels and fins for snorkeling. we saw parrot fish,yellow tail clown fish on the sea anemone,puffer fish, and others which I'm not familiar with plus 3 white tip sharks. these sharks are young white tip that you can usually find in reef areas.they were lovely,swimming and roaming around the rocks.

Joel called our attention and told us that it was time for our second dive.

we went and descend 17 m. maximum depth but the current was so strong though the visibility was not bad 8m-10m, we had a hard time swimming against the current.in short, it was a bad second dive.everyone was disappointed on that dive,we were off by around 200m on our drop-off point.should we anchored and descend somewhere near the island,it could have been easier and we could have enjoyed our dive more.but definitely we will come back for another one.as the divers saying " IT IS BETTER TO HAVE A BAD DAY DIVING, THAN A GOOD DAY WORKING" = )

these are the things that im up to right now, where i spend most of my freetime.

AIRSOFT - a warlike re-enactment or simulation using a replica of real guns powered by electric motors and batteries(AEG-Automatic Electric Gun). The bullets fired are 0.15mm -0.20mm diameter spherical plastic that are subjected to air compression inside the gun chamber to an average speed of 375fps(feet per sec).

the equipments are a bit expensive, considering that you should be in full battle gear before you can actually play the game. uniforms,vest,safety goggles,helmet,face protection,boots,AEG's..$ aaaahhh...but the fun is priceless!

every friday (usual day off in UAE) ,airsoft players from different emirate gather together and play the game.it is one of our way to release stress by squeezing the trigger and pointing to your enemies, though there are restrictions and rules of engagement to follow, everyone is enjoying their weekend.i can release my own tensions and sentiments while enjoying and meeting new friends.

whew!? it's quite a while since i last posted here on my blog. i just went for, i could say "overhaul" on the past few months. did some patching up a little,a bit of adjustment and a lot of courage,wisdom and FAITH.

Month of December..Christmas is just around the corner..but i can't still say if i'm gonna be happy or i'm gonna be sad.Its my 2nd Christmas in DXB and i can still remember what it was like the first time.Waking up early Christmas morning for work,arriving at our flat late at night,feeling the breeze of the cold winter night,its just made me feel alone...then my fingers started to dial numbers on my phone..i was calling my mom,tears started to fall..then i called my GF, i was like a little child who's crying for someone to be with him... i felt emptiness,incomplete,alone and.... that was it, the rest is history.I hope it wont happen again these year......

it was a very tiring,long drive kagabi and a very memorable road trip..biro mo umalis kami ng 1830hrs nakauwi kami 0100hr na dahil sa traffic..hai,kafagod..just imagine going around in the same road over and over for 4 times before finally reaching to your destination..and each round is approx.7 mins.(astig di ba..hoohoo!!)at least ngaun alam ko na kung saan ung daan..heheh..cguro pwede na kahit 2 times na ikot lng..
here are some pointers to consider.
1. dapat alam mo ung place
2. dapat ayus ung a/c ng oto mo.dahil sa super lamig eh bka manigas tuhod mo.
3. wag magtiwala sa road turns, road signs.dahil pag di mo nakita ng maayos heheh malayo-layong ikutan nnaman.
4. don't take your wang-bu friends with you..bka makarating ka sa ibang emirates hahaha
5.bring some food..kasi bka gutumin kayo,at walang makainan..unless gusto mo sa indian or pakistani restaurants.
6. wag maging addict sa PRISON BREAK..kakapanuod late na nakaalis..
7.use seat belt kahit back seat passenger ka..pra di bumakat mukha mo sa likod ng driver seat..haha.(peace leys)

hey..another working day. have you ever wonder, why we are having the same old routine everyday?waking up in the morning,w/o breakfast and rushing to your car/transpo worried that you might not make it to your 8am call time.sitting infront of your desk and doing the same stuff over and over until 5pm.and again rushing to your car/transpo worried that you might get caught in the middle of traffic jam. actually, tinatamad ako pumasok ngaun eh.mag marathon nlng daw kami sa panunuod ng PRISONBREAK or samahan ko si kuya jabe bumili ng A/C compressor.but i cant skip from working today.although i dont have that much things or any urgent work, i just cant. di ko tlga alam eh.basta nasa isip ko papasok ako..hai buhay,same same evryday.eto nga at tinawagan na ako ng mga kafatids umuwi na daw ako at wag magpanggap.but, we can make our days unique from the other day. ibig sabihin,tau ang may control.kung anu ung inisip natin,un ang madalas na ngyayari...tpos habang lumalaki ung sahod mo,lumalaki gastos mo,lumalaki padala mo, pero kakarampot pa din ung natitira syo e anu pa ang pangkakaiba kung maliit sahod mo? just thank GOD for HIS presence,guidance and blessing....buti nga at nagising pa tau sa araw na ito at may hangin ka pa na nalalanghap..\m/
